The girls get haircuts!

We went wandering the streets of Puerto Princesa and we have been talking nearly daily of cutting all this hair off. Marion has been pushing for weeks to shave her hair off “like Dad!” And her focus has only intensified. So when we saw a little salon with $1 haircuts…we’ll, that seemed about he right price for their first haircuts that haven’t been by me! Ha! Unfortunately for Buoy the woman refused to shave her hair 😂. Not on a girl!! They were mollified that we requested a short pixie cut similar to the other woman working there at the moment. Marion was thrilled to see her hair dropping away. Though she was really ready for a shave. Oh that girl.

She doesn’t look excited, does she?

Alys was also pretty excited about her bob cut. Get that hair off those necks!!

These beautiful girls are shining inside and out. Sure we aren’t always taking pictures of when we’re walking next to a hot dusty road and they’re a bit whiny about walking and don’t want to check out the department of agriculture…but they really barely have to be lectured about patience and character building and they chin up and mostly soldier on. More than that they are truly a pleasure. Enjoying the ride and rolling with the new and different…oh and we’re mostly just having fun on top of fun. So not so rough.

FYI Buoy is still planning to shave her head as soon as possible. We said let’s see how she likes this in a week. She said, “maybe a half a week”. Ha!
