Meant to give a “tour”of where we’ve been staying earlier but… better late then never. Obviously you’ve seen in our pictures the general space, but it has been interesting the little differences (besides just the smaller space). And if we’re going to remember all the places we’ve been I think I best make a point of it.
Kitchen: drinking/cooking water in the blue jug on the left, blue propane tank with burner as stovetop (light with a match and turn on the gas) pan on top, sink (way more time washing without a dishwasher, and also paranoia about the tap water meant we boiled our washing water…I’m guessing this may change as our lazy overrides our worries). Electric teapot for boiling said water, rice cooker and fridge. What more could we want? Clothes lineHad to put this picture in of the cat decal on the stairs because it scared (startled) the heck our of us nearly every time we went up the stairsPile of real cats that also made me jump when I went to hang up our clothesBed where I could touch the wall with my feet if I pointed them (ok, if I put my head against the headboard maybe not quite unless I tried, but yes with the inch of space that makes a pillow comfortable). To its credit the mattress was more comfortable than the girls’ (due to the girls’ mattresses being about half as thick – discovered by me when I slept on Marion’s bed-ow says my hips)Really not meaning to complain, we all seemed to sleep well and I was 100% grateful for the A/C (though in all honesty it was sort of hilarious how we’d dial it up and then I’d be so cold I couldn’t sleep and there are only sheets so I would use the little towels to spread over my feet or shoulders but if we turned it off or down I’d wake up too hot! Oh goodness my narrow window)Couch, table, door to left is bathroom which did actually have hot and cold water and a sprayer, tabo, and toilet paper. No lack of options. If we’re being truthful it was not perfect in its smell (mostly just the bathroom) but we’re still not on the complaining wagon yet 🙂
